Boston: G is for Greater Boston

Welcome to my third year participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge. This year's theme is BOSTON.

Today's letter is G which will showcase Greater Boston.

Occasionally this blogging challenge requires the author to fudge a bit. Today is one of those days for me.

When I say "greater Boston" I really mean Cambridge. But since I already had a letter C option ... I had to improvise. I hope you excuse the creative license. It certainly won't be my last...

I was blessed to go on this trip to Boston because my son and
daughter-in-law needed a dog nanny - and "MiMi" was more than
happy to oblige. Our apartment was just over the Longfellow
Bridge in Cambridge. We were on the top floor and enjoyed a
spectacular view!

Our daily routine included three walks around the Cambridge
neighborhood. Maple and I fit right into the urban scene.

I also included a daily walk to the Longfellow Bridge, which
was about five minutes away. I never tired of viewing the
Boston Skyline from the Charles River.

Nor did I tire of this beautiful scene each night
 outside my bedroom window.
I'm not much for selfies ... but I had to document my last day.
This was truly a trip of a lifetime.
Thank you, Brian and Amanda!

  2. I'm sure that Cantibridgians will love being called Greater Boston. I'm very fond of Cambridge, a great city in its own right. I'm glad you got to spend some time there.

    1. Cantibridgians ... I've never heard that term but I LOVE it!! I hope I didn't disrespect the area... I wanted to showcase the area, but I couldn't find another letter to fit :)

  3. What a fun way to see Boston and Cambridge! You're entitled to your "fudge." I've stretched things quite a bit this go 'round as well!

    1. Thank you! I love to photograph my travels and then recall the adventures year after year. I'd love to learn to capture the emotion of the place as well as the sights. I guess that takes practice... so I see many more trips in my future :)
