Today's letter is J which could showcase JFK. Afterall, the Kennedy family is synonymous with Massachusettes politics. And the first time I recognized a Boston accent was hearing Edward Kennedy on the local news. But alas, I did not visit Hyannis Port.
Or I could showcase the John Hancock Tower, once the highest observation deck in Boston until it closed after the terrorist attacks in 2001. But I only viewed this landmark from afar - standing on the Longfellow Bridge.
Or ... I could discuss Jamaica Plain, one of Boston's quaint neighborhoods filled with greenspaces, an arboretum and freshwater pond. However, I did not venture that far south.
So I will have to leave this entry relatively blank.
For those of you who know Boston better than I ... what would you showcase for the letter J??
My favorite view... sunset from the Longfellow Bridge |
Hmm, good question about the letter J. I think you did brilliantly with Mr Kennedy and John Hancock. Nothing more that comes to my mind.

Thanks... it was the most difficult letter for me this challenge.
DeleteI live in Jamaica Plain, and my very first A to Z two years ago was entirely themed on the neighborhood. So, should anyone be interested in Jamaica Plain, there's more than anyone would ever want to know there, lol.

Thank you for the link! I plan to read through all the entries this evening (and I know I'm going to want to schedule another trip to Boston after I finish the written tour) :)
DeleteMy husband is a fan of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston. Weekends In Maine
ReplyDeleteIf I had more time, I'm sure I would have visited both :) Next time!
DeleteYes, I would have said JFK for Boston right away.
ReplyDeleteJanet’s Smiles
It was the first that came to mind... but unfortunately I had not a single photo to represent JFK.
DeleteWe toured the JFK Library on our last visit. Good stuff! Can't think of anything else J...
