At times we experienced near white-out conditions |
Poor Ralfie - snow up to his knees! |
Unofficial tally on our driveway: 14 inches!! |
I know many of you experienced this massive storm as well --- Snowpocalypse is among the many nicknames I have heard. Stay safe and warm!
I do love the photos, but enough is enough right? Ours is snow day #7 -- they will be having to make up time as only (4) are allowed. Stay safe Molly
ReplyDeleteIt's a snow day here too, but the storm made a slight shift north and we got mostly sleet instead of the 18" snowfall originally predicted.... feel like we finally caught a break. Stay warm, Molly!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a rough winter so far no doubt! We are having snow and ice here for the past 2 days! Love your pictures! Stay safe! :)
ReplyDeleteHell girl, if you can find an operating airplane come to Orlando. It is 81 degrees and the parks are open.
ReplyDeleteNext year I will swap with you. You can come to snowless Britain and I will go to yours and make lots of snow angels.
ReplyDeleteOddly, we don't have any snow at this time. Looks like you got it all. Take care.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and warm, Molly!
ReplyDeleteYes, Molly, keep warm and safe!
ReplyDeleteI feel so badly for all of you guys with so much winter weather. We are freezing down here in Texas. Way too cold for us. Rolling blackouts as Austin sends power to other parts of Texas that are having difficulties.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and I bet this will be over soon.
Ralfie is so cute! Glad he had a shallow area to stand in. Poor Coop got stuck in drifts a few times and I thought we were going to have to go help him get out.
ReplyDeleteSoon the newscasts will be calling it the Onion News Network's parody name: Snowlacaust
ReplyDeleteA few more inches up here, Molly. We had about 18 inches settled in our drive. The third biggest snowstorm in Chicago history. I'm old enough to remember the other two. Like Ralfie, I was stuck in it up to my knees. Schools, businesses, and city offices are closed in the entire area and will be tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWe had something I'd not heard of last night. Thundersnow. It was pretty loud and impressive to hear thunder with snow!
Stay warm and safe.
It's not very often that you guys get that much more snow than we do! Are you out of planned snow days yet? Today was our last planned day and my daughter is not happy to think that the school year may have to go long!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures--snow is so beautiful. It was 50 and sunny here in Seattle. Our La Nina winter has seemingly fizzled out. Hope you don't end up with too many days to make up come summer!
ReplyDelete*smiles*
I'm in awe of the students that sent you their work!! Bravo to them!! Hope that you can get back to school soon. We have had 2 days off because of the storm..any more and we go longer in June!!
ReplyDeleteSo much for that snow passing you by, huh? Ha! Gotta love Mother Nature's sense of humor. :-)
ReplyDeleteHa--Ralfie doesn't look like he's quite sure he likes the snow. I always have to coax our lab out, but once she's out she LOVES running around.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe this weather. We had ice on Tuesday that was still lingering last night, but this morning I woke up to 6-8 inches. No way baby and I are making our way out today...glad I bought some needed thread last night so I can sew today. ;)
Stay warm! I'll be ready for spring when it comes!
Wow, that is a lot of snow! I hope it's melted by now.
ReplyDeleteYOu're going to be teaching into July!
ReplyDeleteI feel so sad for all of you with so much snow. We never get snow. Even on declared Snow Days.
ReplyDeleteI envy you and I feel for you.
That is a lot of white stuff. Stay warm and cozy.
