My ears are completely perked up...Sensationalism?? My ears are completely perked up. I picked up this book after reading SO many wonderful reviews, but talk of sensationalism has me drooling. Still, one of the better books about police procedures and how they developed in England, and about the number of horrific crimes against children. I'd read The Moonstone, so I could definitely see the similarities and inspirations for the novel. What I did not like was that when the author referred to some of the other books that spawned from this true story, it was a tiny bit spoiler-ish.
