I loved your honesty and openness... and that you are 'learning to let go and let God'!

We seem to be going through many of the same things, which is always encouraging to know you are not alone, lol...

Sorry about Mia. I dread the day my baby will be gone :(

By the way, I really related to what Kim had to say in her comment here... re her children pursuing things that aren't necessarily her dreams for them. This has been my learning curve this year also.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736127069847988207.post-54089274315360065682009-01-07T17:43:00.000-06:002009-01-07T17:43:00.000-06:00Wanted to drop in and wish you a Happy New Year! I was thinking it would ease up over the next few days, but now I don't know. I signed up for a mess load of them!

Anyway, wanted to wish you the best in 2009!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736127069847988207.post-69365228186233911212009-01-01T13:45:00.000-06:002009-01-01T13:45:00.000-06:00Welcome to my world! Your post says it all--although our family has not suffered in quite as many ways as you have needed to do this year, I am struggling with mid-life sadness that life is not turning out the way I wanted/planned/expected it to! As the mother of 2 adult children, who are wonderful by the way, I am going through a stage of acceptance--accepting the choices they make about their life which don't always add up to my *dream* life. Once a mommy, always a mommy, but there is quite an element of letting go of them as they grow up that is not so easy! :) I still have 2 more at home and I am learning through the first 2 that I can have all the wishes and dreams I want for them, but ultimately it is their life.

Three years ago I needed to make a drastic change in my life--to go back to work after being a sahm for 20 years. This also meant that I needed to give up home-schooling my last 2 kiddos and put them in public school--something I was loathe to do. There was quite a grieving process, but God has carried me (and them) through, and something that seemed so dire and drastic has turned out ok. Still not what I wanted, but I can see how everything is in God's hands.

Reading for me is a definitely an escape and way to relax! I hope you are successful in your goal to find some time for your enjoyment in 2009!
Happy New Year!
*smiles*
Kim
(page after page) Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13029664492284742183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736127069847988207.post-73011733604562389342009-01-01T06:19:00.000-06:002009-01-01T06:19:00.000-06:00Hi Molly,WOW!! I am currently homeschooling my two daughters and love it! I love to read and get up extra earlier to spend quiet time with my books before my girls get up! Unfortunately, when I was in school, I never came across a teacher that put that "spark" in reading that would ignite it in me to read classics. So, I have not read very many (at least I don't remember them). I hope to make this part of my 2009 New Years resolution (along with my treadmill)! LOL!!
I am also fairly new to the blogsphere world and would like to explore it some more. I will be adding you to my blog list. I love your blog!
Many blessings in the new year!Busymom2girlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17604309959376196853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7736127069847988207.post-24988351543124479642008-12-31T16:20:00.000-06:002008-12-31T16:20:00.000-06:00Hello Molly.
